Over $1,125,000 Million Donated to the communities who have supported Clark’s Pump-N-Shop and John W. Clark Oil Company, Inc.
The Clark family founded the Clark Family Charity in 2021 with the goal of giving back to the communities who have supported Clark’s Pump-N-Shop and John W. Clark Oil Company, Inc. for decades. The Clark family believes that a community is built from the ground up. We can think of no better way to give back to the communities that have supported us for so long than to invest in those communities at the ground level. With that goal in mind, the Clark Family Charity created the Clark Family Scholarship Program, for students continuing their education after high school.
Rodney Clark Memorial Golf Outing
We invite you to join us in the Rodney Clark Memorial Golf Outing on September 9th, 2024 at Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland, KY. Check in and breakfast begin at 8:00AM followed by a shotgun start at 9:00AM. Upon completion lunch will begin along with awards, presentations, and announcement of silent auction winners. This year's event will be limited to the first 36 teams that register. Registration closes August 9th, 2024.
In the 8 years of this event we have raised one million one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars ($1,125,000.00) for the Clark Family Charity scholarship endowment.
In addition to the Rodney Clark Scholarship, the Clark Family Charity announced a new scholarship program, the Clark Family Scholarship, for students continuing their education after high school. This $2,000 yearly scholarship ($1,000 per semester) will be awarded to students who show academic promise and a desire on attending a 2–4-year college or university, trade school, or vocational school. Winners of the scholarship will be eligible to renew the scholarship on a yearly basis for a total of eight semesters.
The 2024 Clark Family Scholarship Recipients were:
Alayna Reynolds - West Carter High School
Madilyn Smith - South Point High School
Now with your support of our event we will have the ability to assist high school seniors in Eastern and Central KY as we want to reach out to all the communities we love and serve. We appreciate you all for joining, and look forward to celebrating Rodney with another successful golf outing!
January 10 2016, the Clark Family of Ashland, KY, lost a beloved brother and son. Wishing to honor his memory, a scholarship endowment was created in partnership with Ashland Community and Technical College. The scholarship is awarded to local high school seniors wishing to attend ACTCS.
In addition to now taking general donations, an annual memorial golf outing is held at Bellefonte Country Club and Keene Trace Golf Club: Champions Course hosted by Clark's Pump-N-Shop and John W. Clark Oil Company.
We miss you Rodney and we hope you would be proud.
